Job summary

Duke Health Integrated Practice in Durham, NC seeks a Clinical Nurse II at Duke Otolaryngology of South Durham to join a compassionate care team providing direct and indirect patient care.

You will perform patient rooming, pre/postoperative education, assist with ENT procedures, manage inbasket communications, and help coordinate imaging and scheduling.

Candidates must have an accredited nursing degree, NC RN license, one year of clinical experience, and BLS; BSN enrollment encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must have an accredited Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma.
• Twelve months of clinical experience required.
• Current North Carolina RN licensure; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and take histories, vital signs, and medications per provider orders.
• Set up and assist with ENT procedures.
• Perform high-level disinfection and instrument sterilization.
• Manage InBasket messages and coordinate patient communications.
• Review schedules and coordinate imaging and appointments.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative education to patients.
