Job summary

Otto Aerospace is seeking a Lead Technical Program Manager (TPM), Engineering to drive the Air Vehicle Definition program. You will lead a team of TPMs, coordinate delivery across design, manufacturing, testing, and certification, and partner with the Chief Engineer to manage risk and schedule.

Based in the United States, the role supports a remote-first environment with expected relocation to Jacksonville, FL in 2026 and travel up to 25% to meet program needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering or related field.
• Eight+ years in technical program/project management, preferably in the aviation industry.
• Ten+ years total experience; equivalent experience and education may be considered.
• Two+ years in formal or informal leadership roles.
• Experience across the product lifecycle, including composites and systems development and certification.
• PM tools experience (MS Project, Primavera/P6, Jama, Jira).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of TPMs to coordinate and deliver products on schedule and within budget.
• Own engineering execution across the full program lifecycle with TPMs and work package owners.
• Support supplier strategy and execution.
• Partner with the Chief Engineer to manage risks, issues, and opportunities with metrics.
• Define and enforce the PMO execution operating model with cadence, tools, and behaviors.
• Anticipate resource and execution stress points and resolve gaps before delivery.
• Lead alignment across Engineering TPMs and synthesize status into clear narratives.
• Steward the program roadmap aligning near-term delivery with long-term strategy.
