Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician to support the Transportation and Public Works (TPW) Department, Capital Delivery Division. This position provides technical engineering and project-delivery support for transportation and public infrastructure capital projects from design through construction.

The position works closely with project managers, engineering consultants, utility companies, contractors, inspectors, City departments, and other stakeholders to help keep

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Five (5) years of increasingly responsible technical engineering experience in drafting, design, and/or survey.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Design review and technical documentation: support design review stages; distribute plans; track comments, action items, and deliverables; maintain records.
• Utility, consultant, and stakeholder coordination: coordinate with utilities, consultants, contractors, inspectors, City staff to identify and resolve conflicts.
• Field, research, and technical support: conduct field visits and site investigations; document conditions and issues; prepare summaries and reports.
