Job summary

The City of Cincinnati seeks a Senior Engineering Technician to support planning, design, and maintenance of city facilities. You will assist in drafting, surveying, and reviewing plans using AutoCAD and ArcGIS, while guiding junior staff and coordinating with contractors and city departments.

Ideal candidates will have strong surveying skills, CAD proficiency, and the ability to translate complex information for non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Engineering/technical coursework or equivalent experience required.
• Knowledge of surveying, drafting, and construction principles.
• Experience with CAD/GIS tools and field surveys preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination, and execution of facility projects.
• Review plans, conduct surveys, and assist in design work.
• Coordinate with contractors and internal teams to maintain schedules.
• Assist in quality control and documentation of project deliverables.
• Lead junior staff in field tasks and data collection when needed.
