Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC is seeking a Senior Survey CAD Technician in Cincinnati, OH. The role supports both office and field teams, processing survey data and producing final deliverables using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center.

The Senior Survey CAD Technician will coordinate with the Project Manager, perform data processing, correctness checks, plats, ALTA/NSPS surveys, and boundary calculations while training staff and ensuring project schedules and quality targets are met.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
• Experience processing survey data using Trimble Business Center (TBC).
• Experience preparing plats and ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys.
• Strong computer and technical skills.
• Proficiency in technical mathematics, including geometry and trigonometry.
• Strong attention to detail and knowledge of surveying regulations, professional standards, and quality-control practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure office and field requirements are met.
• Process field data and prepare CAD-based land survey deliverables.
• Perform daily data processing, evaluating accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable regulations and professional standards.
• Prepare survey plats, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, drawings, legal descriptions, and alignment drawings.
• Perform deed research, deed plotting, boundary calculations, and map checks.
• Conduct initial and final quality-control reviews of field data, plats, drawings, and client-specific deliverables.
• Monitor field crew production and provide technical office support, including crew briefings and debriefings.
• Perform on-site quality checks when needed.
• Train and support field and office staff on survey standards and best practices.
• Help ensure project schedules and productivity goals are met.

Responsibilities
