Job summary

Intuitive Surgical, Inc. in Sunnyvale, CA, is looking for a Senior Engineering Technician to support the Advanced Product Development team by assembling prototypes, documenting results, and testing new concepts. You will help maintain tooling, fixtures, and a clean, safe lab environment.

You will prototype complex mechanical-electrical assemblies, track build issues, and provide feedback to engineering while mentoring other technicians. GMP knowledge and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

Minimum 7 years of engineering technician or equivalent work experience.
Experience with electrical-mechanical components, wiring and assemblies.
Prototyping experience preferred and familiarity with GMP processes.
Strong communication and documentation skills for cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary support for assembling complex mechanical-electrical prototypes.
Track build issues and document manufacturing processes.
Provide assembly process feedback to the engineering team.
Train, mentor support technicians.
Organize and maintain inventory in an R&D environment.
Maintain a safe, clean and organized engineering lab.
