Job summary

KBR is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician V to support TACOM program activities in Anniston, AL. This contingent role requires advanced technical expertise to analyze complex problems, support system design and integration, and lead troubleshooting efforts across multiple engineering disciplines.

The position directs leadership and mentorship for lower-grade technicians, emphasizing quality, safety, and compliance with Army technical manuals and performance standards.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of engineering principles across one or more disciplines and ability to apply analytical methods to complex tasks.
• Ability to independently analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues and provide guidance.
• Ability to lead technical efforts and mentor lower-graded personnel.
• Experience in installation, maintenance, operation, testing, and inspection of specialized equipment and systems.
• Eligibility for U.S. Government security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Senior Engineering Technician and SME for complex facility projects.
• Apply advanced engineering knowledge across civil, architectural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines using CAD and GIS.
• Independently manage multiple projects from planning through completion with coordination.
• Lead QA inspections and ensure compliance with codes, standards, and requirements.
• Oversee CAD/GIS/engineering data systems, data integrity, backups, and archives.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and training to lower-graded technicians.
• Provide leadership and oversight, contribute to workforce development and long-range planning.
