Job summary

Qualifications

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Education: Graduation from high school, or equivalent, with courses in mathematics.
  • Engineering-support experience: Four (4) years in engineering-oriented functions requiring engineering terminology and mathematical skills.
  • At least one year of the required Engineering-Support Experience must have been comparable to the Engineering Aid IV level, OR two years at Engineering Aid III level.
  • The Engineering Aid IV performs standardized, non-professional engineering tasks under general supervision.
  • The Engineering Aid III performs routine technical, non-professional engineering tasks under general supervision.
  • Supervisory aptitude demonstrated through leadership or supervisory training and performance.
  • Substitutions allowed as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements.
  • Driver's license valid at time of appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Apply principles and techniques in a specific or limited area of engineering; understand construction, operation, and limitations of systems and materials.
  • Under general supervision, perform moderately difficult sub-professional, technical functions; may lead a small group of engineering aids; perform other duties.
