Two full-time positions are available with the Water Department, Maintenance Investigations and Inspections Division, located at 1800 Prospect Ave.

Salary Range: $27.25-$40.88/hour

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Perform investigations of Wastewater and Storm Water utilities.
• Problem solve issues including surface defects, cave-ins, street depressions, dye testing, locating manholes, sewer overflows, remote sewer investigations, CCTV televising, slant inspections, and using locators and sondes.
• Assist in repair and rehabilitation contracts by conducting onsite inspections and documenting work.
• Have experience with Hansen Infor CMMS, E-Builder, GIS mapping, sewer records, and sewer as-builts.
• Document and resolve utility issues received from various sources including 311/MyCivic, residents, and management projects.

Qualifications

REQUIRES: High school diploma and 7 years of experience in engineering drawing, mapping, GIS, CADD, engineering, land survey, or construction inspection, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.

Alternatively, 5 years of experience plus a Level II Engineering Technology Certification or Land Surveyor in Training, or a Level III Engineering Technician (NICET) certification or a Registered Land Surveyor's License.

Must possess a valid driver’s license, pass a pre-employment drug screen, and a physical exam.
