Job summary

Secretariat is a global engineering and scientific consulting firm seeking professionals to join its expanding team. You will be engaged in analyzing failures of products across industries, with a focus on large industrial facilities and related sectors, contributing from day one on high-stakes projects.

You will collaborate across disciplines, craft expert reports, and manage timelines while traveling as needed and supporting client communications across time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical or similar engineering.
• 2+ years in forensic/root cause analysis.
• Pursuing PE credentials is a plus.
• Strong report writing to complement analytics.
• Ability to assimilate information and develop creative solutions.
• Ability to manage time and team priorities.
• Ability to manage external stakeholders.
• Independence with escalation when needed.
• Excellent analytical, listening, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conducting hands-on failure analysis investigations
• Performing laboratory tests
• Assisting with field inspections
• Assisting with client communications in all time zones
• Performing technical analysis and drafting report sections
• Analyzing technical reports offered by others, and developing rebuttal points
• Developing positive relationships with colleagues, peers and clients
• Demonstrate excellent analytical skills with acute attention to detail to successfully achieve project milestones.
• Manage workload to achieve simultaneous project milestones while maintaining project schedules and budgets.
