Job summary

The Hershey Company in Memphis, TN is seeking an experienced engineer with project management skills to lead manufacturing and packaging initiatives. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance and business stakeholders to deliver practical solutions that improve reliability, efficiency and changeover processes on our high-speed lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field preferred.
• 3+ years of engineering/project management experience.
• Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably high-speed automated manufacturing or packaging.

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned engineering project tasks using established Hershey procedures and standards.
• Support moderately complex engineering, packaging, and manufacturing projects by evaluating options, validating recommendations, and delivering practical solutions.
• Partner with engineering, operations, maintenance, and business stakeholders to align on requirements, constraints, testing needs, validation activities, and troubleshooting support.
• Help identify project dependencies, risks, and issues, then support follow-up actions to keep work moving and ensure concerns are resolved.
• Contribute to equipment optimization, reliability, efficiency, changeover improvement, waste reduction, and continuous improvement efforts across the plant.
• Support capital project work, including feasibility assessments, cost estimates, equipment selection, installation, start-up, troubleshooting, and training coordination.
• Maintain clear engineering documentation, project records, and standard templates to support traceability, governance, integration, safety, and quality requirements.
