Job summary

Wunderlich-Malec Engineering, a 100% employee-owned ESOP, has a Senior Engineer Project Manager opening in Kansas City metro and surrounding areas. You will assist the Business Unit Manager in achieving strategic goals, lead project management and delivery, and contribute technically across client engagements.

The role emphasizes project delivery, quality management, budgeting, and coordination with internal and external teams.

Qualifications

• Requires 10+ years related experience.
• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred; knowledge in project management, concept development and delivery.
• Experience in Mission Critical/Data Center, Packaging Automation or Life Science preferred.
• Organized, technically competent with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Consulting engineering experience and practical experience in Industrial manufacturing desired.
• Knowledge of industrial standards (OSHA, EPA, Building Codes, GMP, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Collect field data and client documentation for scoping and engineering.
• Prepare project engineering, procurement, and construction specifications.
• Prepare justification and project approval documentation for clients.
• Manage engineering with internal and external resources.
• Procure equipment and materials; review drawings and specs.
• Solicit and manage construction activities and contractors.
• Develop and administer project budgets, quality controls, and cost estimates.
• Represent the firm in dealings with clients, consultants, and regulators.
• Support proposals, reports, and presentations for new work.
• Other duties assigned by BU Manager and client managers.
