Job Description:

CORE POWER is seeking a Senior Engineering Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering and infrastructure projects related to Floating Nuclear Power Plants (FNPP), shipyard integration, and associated technical programs.

This position is designed for a technical project manager with approximately 8+ years of project or program management experience who can combine strong technical literacy with structured project execution. The ideal candidate will be hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and comfortable driving progress across diverse internal and external stakeholders.

This role reports to the Senior Director of Engineering Projects and will work closely with engineering, commercial, regulatory, and shipyard partners.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery & Coordination
  • Execute planning and delivery of engineering projects across the FNPP lifecycle, including early concept development, shipyard analyses, and integration activities.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using tools such as MS Project, JIRA, or similar platforms.
  • Track deliverables, risks, action items, and decision logs across multi‑disciplinary teams.
  • Coordinate technical inputs from engineering partners, shipyards, and internal SMEs.
  • Direct the development and communication of project documentation, technical summaries, presentations, and status dashboards.
Contract Support
  • Assist with drafting, reviewing, and managing technical scopes of work and contract documentation.
  • Manage contract execution activities, including monitoring deliverables, tracking changes, and managing vendor communications.
  • Coordinate with legal and commercial teams to ensure contract compliance.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Lead coordination with shipyards, engineering vendors, and government agencies as required.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and design reviews; document and communicate outcomes.
  • Prepare summaries and materials for internal/external stakeholders, including regulatory and commercial partners.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure project execution aligns with CORE POWER quality standards, configuration control, and documentation expectations.
  • Support compliance with nuclear, maritime, environmental, and safety requirements.
  • Help develop and refine project management processes, workflow tools, and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline project execution, documentation, and coordination across the engineering organization.
Job Requirements:
  • Willingness to occasionally travel to shipyards, partner sites, and technical meetings.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects through early‑stage concept development and technical feasibility analysis, including definition of project scope, assumptions, and constraints.
  • Experience facilitating technical decision‑making processes, including development of decision briefs, trade studies, and documentation of engineering rationale.
  • Familiarity with change management processes, including configuration control, change requests, and design revision tracking.
  • Ability to coordinate multi‑organization programs and engineering efforts across geographically distributed teams and external partners.
  • Experience supporting design reviews and technical milestones (e.g., concept reviews, preliminary design reviews, critical design reviews).
  • Strong capability to synthesize complex technical information into clear reports, executive summaries, and briefing materials for leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying and managing technical and programmatic risks, including development of mitigation strategies and contingency planning.
  • Experience supporting project budgeting and resource planning, including tracking labor allocations, contractor spend, and project cost forecasts.
Educational Requirements:
  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Nuclear, Marine, Industrial, Systems, or related field required).
  • PMP certification preferred (not required).
Work Experience:
  • 8+ years of project or program management experience, ideally in complex engineering or infrastructure environments.
  • Hands‑on experience with project scheduling tools such as JIRA, MS Project, Primavera, or similar.
  • Experience in one or more of the following strongly preferred:
  • Nuclear energy or advanced reactors
