Job summary

Great Lakes Cheese in Ohio seeks an Engineering Project Manager III to oversee complex capital infrastructure projects from ideation to startup. You will collaborate with engineering, construction, and production teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and regulatory alignment.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and scopes while driving continuous improvement and coordinating with A&E contractors, subcontractors, and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• 4 years of project engineering experience; must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Excellent verbal & written communications skills.
• Strong problem solving and hands on trouble shooting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail on multiple simultaneous tasks.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage and lead significant, complex capital improvement, construction, and utility infrastructure projects from concept development through installation, startup, and handoff to production.
• Lead the execution of complex greenfield capital construction projects.
• Coordinate and lead large multi-department project design teams with engineering, contractors, and consultants.
• Establish and implement a clear project communication plan.
• Assist plant management with scope, schedule, budget, and funding approvals.
• Develop short and long-range capital plans for multiple facilities.
• Address issues from suppliers and contractors, managing changes with minimal disruption.
• Serve as a technical resource during regulatory inspections and tech documentation.
• Lead cross-functional project teams through full lifecycle and drive technology adoption.
