Job summary

Exelon is seeking a senior engineer to lead complex studies and performance evaluations across electric and gas infrastructure. You will mentor junior staff, drive integrated analyses, and coordinate with contractors to deliver cost-effective projects.

Ideal candidates bring strong knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems, project management experience, and familiarity with industry tools such as CYMDIST, PSS/E, Python, and Power BI. This role may require extended storm-time hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 4+ years of relevant experience, or 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to analyze and interpret electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge and ability to apply problem-solving approaches.
• Knowledge of construction, operations or engineering principles and practices.
• Knowledge of complex field test equipment.
• Broad knowledge and experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, and practices necessary to perform routine assignments for a specific discipline installations, or service.
• Equivalent education/experience includes military roles, project management, journey-level technician or other utility experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads complex engineering projects or multiple smaller projects with complex features.
• Evaluates and implements projects with significant financial and operational impact.
• Mentors junior staff and may lead teams across disciplines.
• Supports design reviews and coordinates with external contractors.
