Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Lead Program Manager to lead large-scale, cross-functional programs and oversee a team of program managers. The role emphasizes strategic leadership, program execution, and stakeholder alignment in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include defining plans, managing budgets and schedules, mentoring managers, driving risk mitigation, and reporting outcomes to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 12+ years of program management experience.
• At least 5 years in a leadership role supervising other program managers.
• Proven success delivering complex, cross-functional programs in fast-paced environments.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; proficient with PM tools and methodologies.
• PMI credentials (PMP, PgMP) are a plus and advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Program Leadership: Define, plan, and execute large-scale programs with alignment to objectives, timelines, and budgets.
• Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of program managers, providing guidance and development opportunities.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership and external partners to drive consensus and resolve conflicts.
• Process Optimization: Develop scalable PM frameworks, tools, and best practices to improve efficiency.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate program risks with proactive solutions.
• Performance Tracking: Establish KPIs, monitor progress, and report outcomes to executives.
• Change Management: Lead teams through organizational changes and adoption of new processes or technologies.
