Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead complex manufacturing and capital investment projects. You will guide initiatives from concept to sustainment, partnering with engineering, operations, and quality teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

You will develop governance structures, track CAPEX, and drive continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma practices to optimize performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience managing technical, manufacturing, industrial, or capital investment projects.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, project controls, and risk management.
• Experience managing project budgets, CAPEX investments, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret project, manufacturing, and quality data.
• Experience developing project schedules, WBS structures, and milestone management plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical projects from concept through implementation, commissioning, and sustainment.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including business benefits, project costs, CAPEX tracking, milestones, risks, weekly accomplishments, and project status reports.
• Establish and maintain project governance structures, including project routines, review cadence, agendas, WBS, OBS, milestone plans, and cost/rate trajectories.
• Drive action item management and ensure timely follow-up and closure across all project stakeholders.
• Monitor project schedules and ensure adherence to overall project planning and milestone commitments.
• Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively escalation critical issues.
• Ensure achievement of project deliverables on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Partner with manufacturing teams to observe, measure, and analyze shop floor processes.
• Identify inefficiencies, waste, and bottlenecks using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Lead capacity analyses, value stream mapping, and root cause analyses.
