Atlassian seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Trusted Data Platform (TDP) SQL team in the United States. You will guide a high-performing engineering organization, shape strategy, and ensure reliable, scalable data-platform delivery across multi-cloud environments.
You will collaborate with product, security, and infrastructure teams to translate customer and enterprise requirements into a clear roadmap, manage risk, and drive platform adoption with reduced integration complexity.
Qualifications
- Significant engineering leadership experience.
- Experience building or operating distributed systems or database platforms.
- Strong people leadership, including coaching and succession planning.
- Ability to turn ambiguous strategies into clear roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, reliability, security, and operational risk.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor engineering managers and engineers, setting clear expectations.
- Define and execute the TDP SQL strategy and roadmap.
- Own the platform's reliability, availability, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with product, security, and infra teams on governance.
- Balance delivery with platform simplification and cost.
