Job summary

Atlassian is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Trusted Data Platform (TDP) SQL team, directing strategy, execution, and operational health. You will partner with senior engineers, product, security, and infrastructure teams to evolve TDP SQL as a dependable internal platform.

You will build and mentor a high-performing team, establish clear ownership and timely delivery, and ensure data residency, encryption, backups, and regulatory controls are met across multi-cloud

Qualifications

Demonstrated success leading a distributed systems or database platform.
Proven ability to translate complex requirements into a clear roadmap.
Strong people leadership, coaching, and succession planning.
Experience balancing reliability, cost, and delivery speed in large org.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop engineering managers and engineers with clear expectations.
Define and execute the TDP SQL strategy and roadmap.
Own the operational health, security, and recoverability of the platform.
Partner with cross-functional leaders to align on architecture and delivery goals.
Balance platform simplicity with enterprise needs and cost efficiency.
