Job summary

Google in Sunnyvale/Seattle area is hiring a Staff Software Engineering Manager for Security Data Foundations. You will lead engineers and TPMs, shape technical strategy, and drive data security initiatives across Cloud CISO.

You will partner with product security leaders to deliver robust data solutions and set best practices for data quality and governance. The role emphasizes scalable systems, cross-team collaboration, and shaping security data foundations for Google Cloud’s evolving security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience programming in C++, Java or Go.
• 3 years of experience building software for data privacy or security (e.g., identity and access management).
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
• Experience designing and implementing distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers and TPMs responsible for Cloud CISO’s product security-related data.
• Define and drive the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for the team, aligning with Cloud CISO’s goals.
• Drive the adoption of advanced GenAI/LLM patterns to improve the accuracy and reliability of our data, and velocity of execution.
• Partner with Cloud CISO leadership, product security engineers, and operations teams to understand data needs, define requirements, and deliver robust solutions.
• Establish and enforce best practices for data quality, governance, and security.
