Job summary

Nectar is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead and scale our core engineering teams in Palo Alto. You will drive delivery, architecture, and product-aligned execution across customer-facing product development and FDE initiatives, guiding a growing team through rapid expansion.

You will mentor engineers and tech leads, partner with PMs and designers, and foster a high-performing culture focused on delivering real-time data systems and AI-powered workflows at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of direct people management experience.
• Ability to align technical execution with product goals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience improving delivery cadences and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage, mentor, and grow software engineers and tech leads.
• Partner with Product and Design to translate roadmaps into engineering plans.
• Oversee architecture, code quality, and high-volume data systems.
• Establish agile practices, sprint planning, and delivery metrics.
• Collaborate with Customer Success and Sales to deliver business value.
• Recruit, interview, and onboard engineering talent.
