This role is fully remote through August 2025, with a transition to a hybrid model in San Francisco starting September 2025.

About The Role:

We seek a hands-on, highly technical Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Payments & Risk Platform team. You will drive reliable delivery, improve quality, and build leadership within our global payments and risk infrastructure. Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, you will develop a secure, scalable platform to minimize fraud, optimize payments, and enhance user experience.

You will foster a culture of accountability and excellence, ensuring your team has the resources and support needed for success.

What You'll Work On:

• Establish and enforce processes for reliable project delivery
• Develop and execute engineering strategies aligned with business goals
• Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate communication
• Build and lead a high-performing, inclusive team
• Ensure technical excellence, system reliability, and security
• Maintain legacy systems while migrating to modern architectures

Your Areas of Expertise:

• 7+ years in software engineering, focusing on payment platforms
• 3+ years in engineering management leading high-performing teams
• 2+ years experience with Ruby on Rails
• Proven track record in delivery velocity, quality, and leadership
• Deep understanding of payment processing, fraud detection, and risk management

Compensation & Benefits:

Base pay ranges from $161,000 to $224,000, with additional bonuses and benefits. Final offers depend on experience, location, and qualifications.
