Job summary

United Future is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead product design engineering from customer requirements through design validation and production release. The role emphasizes guiding technical decisions, reviewing detailed designs, and developing engineers while ensuring project delivery and product quality.

The ideal candidate has substantial design engineering leadership experience, strong CAD/GD&T skills, and the ability to collaborate with sales, manufacturing, and quality teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Progressive product design engineering experience with complex decisions.
• Experience leading people, priorities, and multiple projects.
• Strong command of mechanical design, CAD, GD&T, tolerances, materials, verification.
• Ability to stay engaged in detailed design reviews and guide teams.
• Clear communication with customers, commercial teams, manufacturing, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering team, set priorities, allocate resources.
• Provide hands-on technical direction for product architecture and design verification.
• Lead design reviews and resolve technical risks before release.
• Translate requirements into specifications and validation plans.
• Oversee drawings, BOMs, design calculations, and controlled releases.
• Collaborate with sales/customers on feasibility and proposals.
• Work with manufacturing and quality to improve manufacturability and NPI.
• Grow engineering capability through coaching and standardization.
