Job summary

Nectar Social is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead and scale our core engineering teams. You will manage software engineers and tech leads across customer-facing product development and Forward Deployed Engineering, delivering high-throughput, real-time data systems and AI-driven insights.

This role combines technical leadership with product strategy, hiring, and process excellence as the organization grows from ~50 engineers to the next phase of scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• 3+ years of direct people management experience
• Ability to align technical execution with product goals
• Experience evaluating architectural designs and setting engineering standards
• Proven track record improving delivery cadences and incident response
• Strong written and verbal communication across teams

Responsibilities

• Directly manage, mentor, and grow Software Engineers and Tech Leads
• Partner with Product Managers and Designers to translate roadmaps into plans
• Oversee technical design and code quality for high-volume data systems
• Establish agile practices, sprint planning, and delivery metrics
• Collaborate with Customer Success and Sales to ensure business value
• Recruit, interview, and onboard engineering talent
