Job summary

Nourish is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Provider Supply team, owning scheduling, capacity, and onboarding systems. You will drive product direction, balance patient access with provider experience, and work closely with recruiting, product, design, data, and finance to scale the platform.

This hands-on leadership role requires deep technical depth, strong communication, and a passion for Nourish’s mission to improve health through nutrition.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with modern full-stack technologies.
• 2+ years of hands-on engineering management experience.
• Ability to write PRDs, critique designs, size opportunities, and deliver progress.
• Strong proficiency with React, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL or similar stacks.
• Experience shipping production systems in fast-paced environments.
• Comfort with data-driven experimentation to improve funnels or systems.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of 4-6 engineers.
• Coach engineers through feedback, career development, calibration, and performance.
• Scale the team through recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Stay hands-on through architecture, coding, reviews, and on-call.
• Partner with product/design to write requirements, roadmaps, and sprints.
• Drive system design decisions focused on quality, observability, and scalability.
• Define team rituals and planning cycles (OKRs, quarterly planning, retros).
• Own provider supply platform direction and broker end-to-end delivery.
