Job summary

Playlist is building an AI-forward platform for small businesses, delivering web, mobile, and backend experiences. We seek an experienced engineer who has moved into people leadership, capable of guiding architecture, delivery, and teams toward reliable software and real customer impact.

You will partner with Product and Design, drive hiring and coaching, and advocate for robust testing, observability, and incident management while exploring AI-assisted workflows to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams with hiring and performance management.
• Proven ability to deliver customer-facing software end to end.
• Strong architecture vision and collaboration with Product/Design.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and production guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing engineering team with hiring and development.
• Own delivery across web, mobile, and backend from planning to production readiness.
• Partner with Product and Design to translate needs into clear priorities and releases.
• Set technical direction with senior engineers balancing speed, maintainability, and security.
• Shape AI-powered experiences while ensuring data privacy and trust.
