Location:

Remote but needs to sit close to an office (VA-Sterling, ID-Boise, NC-Charlotte, NV-Las Vegas, NV-Reno, TX-Dallas, TX-Austin, MD-Baltimore, AZ-Tempe, CA-San Francisco, CA-Los Angeles, CA-Anaheim, TN-Gallatin, OR-Hillsboro, CO-Denver)

Role Overview:

The Senior Engineering Team Lead is an advanced-level engineering management position responsible for overseeing larger or more complex projects. This role may supervise several Engineering Team Leads and requires skills in resource allocation, workflow management, fee estimation, QA/QC, and technical expertise in Data Center, AI, and Mission Critical projects. The position involves leadership, consulting, and customer interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop design fees based on project requirements.
• Manage work plans and oversee engineering resources.
• Evaluate and allocate team and project resources.
• Build and train staff across the region.
• Supervise Engineering Team Leads, Engineers, Designers, and Modelers.
• Communicate with project stakeholders regarding effort and deliverables.
• Oversee QA/QC of project designs.
• Resolve technical problems and coordinate with regulatory agencies.

Required Competencies:

• Leadership in complex technical efforts.
• Effective communication skills for presentations and reports.
• Collaborative teamwork abilities.

Travel:

Up to 25% (excluding local site visits).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Sciences.
• Typically 10+ years of engineering experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the US is required.
• Field experience, especially in Data Centers, is strongly recommended.
• Willingness to assist in design work and communicate with customers.
