HIRECLOUT is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for a hybrid role in City of Industry, California. Lead a growing team delivering customer-facing ecommerce experiences and internal applications while partnering with executives to shape the technical direction and culture.

You’ll mentor engineers, drive architecture discussions, and align delivery with business goals across product, design, and cross-functional partners in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.

Job Title: Senior Engineering Manager (Hybrid)

As the company continues to modernise its technology ecosystem, they're seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a growing engineering team responsible for both customer-facing ecommerce experiences and business-critical internal applications.

This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who enjoys building exceptional engineering teams as much as building great technology. You'll partner closely with executive leadership to improve engineering execution, strengthen team culture, and help shape the technical direction of a modern digital organisation. Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a growing team of software engineers through coaching, career development, and continuous feedback.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture built on trust, accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture discussions, design reviews, engineering best practices, and thoughtful technical guidance.
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and cross-functional business leaders to align engineering priorities with strategic business objectives.
• Improve engineering processes, team operations, Agile practices, and delivery execution to increase quality, predictability, and efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with executive leadership by providing technical recommendations, project updates, and strategic insights.
• Identify operational challenges and lead organizational improvements with strong team engagement and buy-in.
• Balance long-term engineering strategy with day-to-day execution across multiple digital products and internal platforms.

Education & Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Minimum of 3 years leading and developing engineering teams.
• Proven success building healthy, engaged, and high-performing engineering organisations.
• Strong technical foundation with the ability to contribute meaningfully to architectural discussions and technical decision-making.
• Experience leading engineering teams within Agile software development environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across engineering, product, and executive leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to lead organisational change while maintaining strong team engagement and trust.
• Experience supporting ecommerce platforms, digital products, retail technology, or internal enterprise applications.

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting Shopify-based ecommerce platforms or leading teams responsible for Shopify environments.
• Exposure to AI adoption initiatives and integrating AI into engineering workflows.
• Experience supporting internal enterprise applications, business systems, or intranet platforms.
• Background within retail, wholesale, ecommerce, or other consumer-focused organizations.
• Experience improving engineering culture, rebuilding team morale, or leading organisations through periods of transformation.
