Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Sr. Engineering Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary team across Electrical, Mechanical, Thermal, and Firmware disciplines. You will own engineering strategy, execution excellence, and capability development to meet business growth and customer expectations.

You will drive governance, metrics, and cross-functional alignment while coaching engineers, managing staffing, and delivering high-quality products with predictable timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in product development.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in engineering management roles.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and multiple concurrent programs.

Job Summary

The Sr. Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team (Electrical, Mechanical, Thermal, and Firmware) to deliver high-quality products and support business growth. This role owns organizational capability, execution excellence, and engineering strategy, ensuring alignment between technical delivery, customer expectations, and long-term business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Organizational Leadership & Strategy

• Plan, organize, and direct multi-functional engineering team organization to meet business objectives


• Translate business direction into engineering priorities, execution plans, and resource allocation

Execution Ownership & Governance

• Oversee engineering execution across multiple projects


• Establish governance for technical decisions, tradeoffs, and risk management


• Ensure predictable execution through clear metrics, cadence, and accountability


• Align engineering outputs to schedule, cost, quality, and customer expectations

Cross-Functional & Customer Leadership

• Lead cross-functional alignment across engineering, program management, operations, and quality


• Support customer engagement, including technical discussions, escalations, and strategic alignment


• Ensure a consistent and unified engineering position in external and internal communications

Technical Leadership & System Thinking

• Provide leadership on system design, integration, and cross-disciplinary tradeoffs

Education & Experience
