Job summary

Schwab's Workplace Services Engineering (WSE) group is transforming how workplace financial solutions are delivered. You will lead engineering initiatives, design scalable platforms, and drive modernization of APIs and legacy systems to support millions of participants and employers.

You will work in a collaborative, on-site environment, mentoring teams and delivering high-quality software with strong governance and security standards.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of leading and/or managing engineering teams including project, resource, and offshore management.
• Ability to identify, recruit, hire, and build high-performing teams.
• Coach, mentor, and provide direct, timely performance feedback.
• Broad knowledge of software engineering: languages, frameworks, techniques, trends.
• Strong influencing, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Help build a critical part of Schwab’s growth in the Workplace market.
• Design and build scalable platforms for workplace applications like Equity Administration.
• Drive modernization initiatives including API and system improvements for faster, safer integrations.
• Improve platform stability, performance, and resilience.
• Modernize legacy components to address high-risk remediation and compliance.
• Leverage AI to innovate processes and outcomes.
