Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior engineering leader to build and lead a high-performing team delivering the Patch & Repave Platform. You will design, architect, and deliver an enterprise solution for automated patching of deployed compute infrastructure and immutable container/VM repaving.

You will promote best practices, manage production delivery, collaborate with product and security, and drive compliance, reliability, and performance across the platform.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in software/platform engineering.
• 8+ years leading engineering teams, including hiring, performance, and delivery accountability.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture and distributed systems fundamentals, including reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Experience with CI/CD, release engineering, and automated quality gates.
• Working knowledge of immutable infrastructure concepts and/or platform lifecycle automation.
• Familiarity with containers/Kubernetes and/or VM platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing engineering team delivering the Patch & Repave Platform.
• Design, architect, and deliver an enterprise solution for automated patching of deployed compute infrastructure and repaving immutable container and VM offerings.
• Deliver a secure, scalable, policy-driven platform that modernizes patching, reduces vulnerability exposure, and improves reliability.
• Develop technology strategy and ensure solutions comply with applicable standards.
• Promote design, engineering, organizational, Agile, and modern solution delivery practices.
• Build and manage teams, including workforce strategy, hiring, quality objectives, training, and performance management.
