Job summary

Allegion is seeking a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead the software engineering competency for Order Management Digital Transformation initiatives. You will build a high-performing engineering organization delivering scalable, secure software while establishing standards, architecture governance, and talent development.

Qualified candidates must have 10+ years in software engineering and 5+ years in technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of technical leadership and people management experience.
• Experience leading enterprise application development teams and delivering large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, APIs, integration platforms, DevOps, CI/CD, test automation, observability, and modern software architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to influence across business and technology organizations and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills with experience building engineering teams, developing talent, and creating clear ownership and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Software Engineering competency across Order Management Digital Transformation initiatives.
• Establish engineering culture, technical excellence standards, and software development practices.
• Define the technical vision, architecture roadmap, and modernization strategy across web, cloud, ERP-related platforms.
• Partner with product, analysts, architects, delivery managers, and security to align technology with business goals.
• Provide technical leadership across multiple transformation initiatives supporting Order Management and business operations.
• Drive CI/CD, DevOps, test automation, observability, and platform reliability.
