Job summary

Casap is seeking an experienced engineering leader to own a critical area of our platform. You will lead a team of engineers responsible for core products spanning fintech, AI, and real-time decisioning, shaping both architecture and long-term platform evolution.

You will turn ambitious goals into decisive execution, recruit and develop top engineers, and influence engineering culture as Casap scales. This role requires strong leadership and deep technical judgment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing teams of 6+ engineers with a track record of developing strong individual contributors and future leaders.
• Strong technical foundation; ability to engage with senior/staff engineers on architecture, system design, scalability, and tradeoffs.
• Owned complex, business-critical products or platforms where reliability, scale, data integrity, security, or real-time decision-making mattered.
• Operates beyond a single team: influences technical direction, partners across functions, shapes broader engineering strategy.
• Comfortable in high-ambiguity, high-ownership environments and helps define the answer.
• Proven ability to hire and develop exceptional engineers, build pipelines, and maintain a high talent bar.
• Combines technical judgment with product and business intuition; makes thoughtful tradeoffs based on customer and company impact.
• Communicates effectively across levels, from engineers to executives, and advocates for engineering perspectives.

Responsibilities

• Own a critical engineering area at Casap; lead a team of 8–12 engineers responsible for core products and systems.
• Build systems at fintech, AI, and real-time decisioning intersections; tackle complex problems across card networks, fraud/risk, and data.
• Set technical direction with architecture and design tradeoffs for scalability, reliability, speed, and evolution.
• Turn ambitious goals into execution; shape priorities and lead from ambiguous problems to shipped products with measurable impact.
• Build and develop an exceptional engineering team; recruit, raise hiring bar, and foster leaders.
• Help shape how engineering operates as Casap scales; influence culture, design, standards, and practices.
• Operate as a technical and organizational leader; stay close to tech while enabling teams to move fast.
• Be a strong voice in company decisions; surface risks, challenge assumptions, and provide engineering perspectives.
