East West Bank is seeking a highly technical, hands-on Senior Engineering Leader to join the IT Business Solutions team. This role will set engineering direction, mentor teams, and remain actively engaged in design, reviews, and critical development work.

The leader will partner with stakeholders across architecture, cybersecurity, and deployment to build secure, resilient banking applications on Azure or AWS, aligning with regulatory governance and SDLC standards.

Qualificações

• 8-10 years of progressive software engineering experience.
• 3+ years in a technical lead or hands-on engineering management role.
• Experience in banking/regulated environments with cyber security, data protection and change controls.
• Proven delivery through Agile methods within enterprise intake, architecture review and SDLC processes.
• Strong communication and leadership to influence stakeholders and guide teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field; equivalent experience will be considered.

Responsabilidades

• Hands-on engineering & architecture: contribute to development, code reviews, secure scalable apps.
• API & integration engineering: design resilient APIs and services with proper auth, validation and auditing.
• Messaging, performance & scale: implement enterprise messaging and caching for high-volume workloads.
• Digital experience engineering: deliver secure, accessible customer-facing interfaces with modern tech (React/TypeScript).
• Technical leadership & business partnership: mentor teams, translate needs into governed solutions.
• Cloud platform engineering: build/run cloud-native apps on Azure/AWS with IaC and CI/CD.
• Reliability, observability & support: include logging/monitoring, incident response, and resiliency testing.
