Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the engineering and maintenance team across multiple properties in Columbus. You will hire, train, and develop staff while overseeing building systems, energy audits, and compliance with EPA/OSHA requirements.

You will coordinate preventive maintenance, manage budgets, review contracts, and work with property management to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years engineering experience with supervision in a commercial property setting.
• Experience in operation, installation and maintenance of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Strong knowledge of fire/life safety, control systems and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision of engineering and maintenance staff; hiring and development.
• Oversee properties totaling 500k square feet or more; coordinate maintenance with contractors.
• Develop preventive maintenance procedures and life safety programs; ensure compliance.
• Assist in budgeting and capital planning; monitor energy use and service contracts.
• Review construction documents; ensure building standards and project files are maintained.
• Monitor and expedite inspections, energy audits, and third-party surveys.
