Job summary

KPMG LLP seeks a Lead Engineer to join the Ignition Tax Product Team, driving planning, design and execution of software development projects aligned with business strategies.

You will mentor junior engineers, lead SDLC activities in an Agile/Scrum environment, and translate business needs into scalable solutions using C#, .NET, Java, SQL and Python. Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship is required.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years in software development or related roles.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering or related field; master's preferred.
• Strong programming in C#, .NET, Java, SQL, Python.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, web services and XML-based integrations.
• Proficient with modern web tech: Angular, HTML, CSS, jQuery.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design and execution of software projects aligned with business strategies.
• Perform advanced testing, bug verification, release validation and beta support.
• Translate requirements into effective software solutions meeting performance goals.
• Troubleshoot complex issues with stakeholders, root-cause analysis and long-term fixes.
• Evaluate market trends to identify new products and enhancements.
• Mentor and coach junior team members on development best practices.
• Uphold KPMG's professional work environment.
