Job summary

Doosan Bobcat NA US is offering an Engineering Intern Senior role within their Student Development Program. You will work closely with mentors on high‑level projects across design, simulation, manufacturing, and testing, gaining real‑world engineering experience while exploring potential full‑time opportunities.

The program is semester-based and part-time with potential extension; prior Bobcat co‑op/intern experience is required and you must be enrolled in a participating university.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Sophomore/Senior standing).
• Field: Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Agricultural Manufacturing or related engineering/industrial technologies.
• Previous co-op/intern experience with Bobcat is a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Design: drive product development and create/modify parts and drawings in CAD; manage bills of materials and engineering change notices; build prototypes; perform engineering calculations.
• Simulation: support development, use simulation tools (e.g., Ansys) to run FE analyses; document results; correlate test data with simulations; stay current with simulation tech.
• Manufacturing: execute product production improvements; write standard work instructions; assist in automation technology development; create tooling and fixtures; optimize production.
• Test: instrument sensors, record data, create test reports, analyze results, benchmark against industry standards, present findings, prep machines for testing.
• Quality: maintain quality control; analyze data to spot warranty trends; verify components per specifications; identify failure modes and drive improvements.
• Electrical/Embedded: support electrical systems; develop harnesses; layout components; create/revise schematics; debug and test embedded software; ensure machine integration.
