Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced software engineer to advance Workday Financial system integrations in Bethesda, MD. You will drive AI-enabled improvements across finance processes and the Workday ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Experience developing new and enhancing existing Workday integrations.
• Experience with Web Services and APIs (WSDL, SOAP, REST).
• Strong XML and XSLT skills.
• Knowledge of Workday development tools (EIB, Workday Studio, Report Writer, BIRT).
• Practical experience using Generative AI tools in software engineering.
• Experience building scalable, resilient, available systems.
• 5+ years of Workday ecosystem software development.
• 3+ years in architecture and design.
• 2+ years in cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• 1+ years building AI-powered apps, chatbots, or agents.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/IS.

Job description

• Manage system integrations within the architecture of the Workday Financial system.


• Identify and implement AI-driven opportunities within Finance processes and Workday ecosystems.


• Provide support for Workday inbound and outbound integration issues, changes to existing integrations, and develop new integrations.


• Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycle.


• Lead in design sessions and code reviews with peers to elevate the quality of engineering across the team.


• Ensure accuracy and integrity of data and applications through analysis, coding, clear documentation, and problem resolution.


• Analyze and translate business and functional specifications and change requests into technical specifications.


• Apply AI-based techniques to automate integration monitoring, validation, testing, and support processes.


• Develop solutions that leverage AI services to improve Finance operations and user experience.


• Use AI tools for troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, document generation, and operational insights.

Requirements

• Experience developing new and enhancing existing Workday integrations


• Experience with Web Services and APIs (WSDL, SOAP, REST and WS standards)


• Strong technical experience with XML and XLST


• Knowledge of Workday development tools (Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday Studio, Workday Report Writer, BIRT)


• Practical experience using Generative AI tools in software engineering and business processes


• Experience with developing systems that are scalable, resilient, and highly available


• 5+ years of professional software development experience within Workday Ecosystem


• 3+ years of experience with architecture and design


• 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service


• 1+ years of experience building AI-powered applications, chatbots, or intelligent agents.


• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience.
