Develop our platform while ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance as it grows.
Promote high-quality releases regarding user experience and web performance.
Collaborate with the team to shape our priorities and long-term roadmap.
Deliver clear feedback through pairing, design review, and code reviews.
Support on-call, incident response, and troubleshooting efforts for platform-level escalations.
Partner with teams by participating in technical discussions, writing technical documentation, and troubleshooting issues.
Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world.
Experience building centralized systems for internal engineering teams.
Familiarity with automation for code quality, release management, and developer workflow improvements.
Experience designing, implementing, testing and documenting projects.
Experience with GenAI tooling such as skills creation or agentic workflows.
Experience with CI/CD tools (we use GitHub actions).
Experience leading complex initiatives.
This is a hybrid remote/in-office role.

The annual base pay range for this role is between:
$140,000 - $160,000 USD
