Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer to design high‑voltage transmission structures and power lines. You will prepare specifications, run analyses, and support construction and commissioning, interfacing with clients and project teams to meet objectives.

Applicants should have a decade of experience, strong knowledge of structural analysis, and proficiency with PLS‑CADD, PLS‑POLE, and AutoCAD, with familiarity of NESC/IEC/IEEE standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in transmission line design for high voltage.
• Strong knowledge of structural design and analysis principles and tools.
• Familiarity with NESC, IEC, and IEEE standards.

as a Transmission Line Engineer within our Project Management Organization designing transmission structures and power lines for high voltage applications.

Responsibilities

• Design transmission structures and power lines for high voltage applications.
• Prepare and review technical specifications and drawings.
• Conduct engineering analysis and simulations for transmission line design.
• Provide support to the project team during construction and installation.
• Collaborate with other engineers and project managers to ensure project goals are met.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
• Perform field work as required to support design, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical support as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in transmission line design for high voltage applications.
• Strong knowledge of structural design and analysis principles and tools.
• Proficiency in engineering software such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as NESC, IEC, and IEEE.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
