Job summary

Deutsche Bank in Cary, NC is seeking a Senior Engineer (Vice President) to design, build, and support accounting domain solutions. You will contribute across the full SDLC, delivering scalable, resilient applications and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, ReactJS, SQL, and related tech.

Work within a hybrid model, partnering with product owners and architects to raise engineering standards, while guiding CI/CD and containerized deployments on Kubernetes/OpenShift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in computing or a related field.
• Extensive hands-on development experience building enterprise applications, APIs and microservices.
• Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure and container platforms (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Strong knowledge of Spark, Hadoop and BigQuery in data processing contexts.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and agile software development practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support applications within the Accounting technology landscape.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to define requirements and architecture.
• Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and performance tuning tasks.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deploy on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Drive engineering excellence through code reviews and continuous improvement.
