Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• California Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 10+ years of progressive civil engineering experience.
• Significant experience delivering Public Works and municipal infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of roadway, grading, drainage, utility, water, and wastewater design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience managing multiple projects, budgets, and schedules simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills.
• Preferred: project management experience, relationships with Northern California public agency clients, mentoring, and business development or proposal experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, design, and delivery of Public Works infrastructure projects from proposal through construction.
• Serve as Engineer of Record for roadway, utility, drainage, water, wastewater, and municipal infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and oversee plans, specifications, cost estimates, technical reports, and construction documents.
• Lead project teams while managing schedules, budgets, quality control, and client expectations.
• Coordinate with municipalities, utility agencies, contractors, developers, and regulatory agencies.
• Provide construction support, respond to RFIs, review submittals, and assist during construction administration.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, designers, and technical staff.
• Perform technical reviews to ensure compliance with agency standards and engineering best practices.
• Participate in proposal preparation, interviews, scope development, and fee estimates.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with clients while identifying opportunities for future work.
• Contribute to the continued growth and success of R.E.Y.’s Public Works practice.

Salary: $145,000–$165,000 DOE + Annual Bonus

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For
