Job summary
Celanese, located in Florence, Kentucky, seeks a Senior Engineer, Product Technology to be the technology expert for the POM product family. The role drives new product development across medical, industrial, consumer, and automotive markets, providing guidance to business management, manufacturing, quality, and other teams to reach business goals.
The position is on-site in Florence, KY and requires collaboration with a global technical team to support product commercialization and customer
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline.
- 3+ years in thermoplastics manufacturing, product development, or technical service.
- Strong polymer formulation, characterization, and testing knowledge.
- Experience with injection molding, compounding, and twin-screw extrusion.
- Ability to influence across technical, commercial, and operations teams.
- Experience troubleshooting complex product or process issues.
- Excellent written, verbal, and customer-facing communication.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive new product development projects for POM products.
- Formulate, test, and optimize technology to generate product value and IP.
- Lead commercialization from lab-scale to scale-up and qualification.
- Collaborate with business management, manufacturing, quality, and sales.
- Provide technical sales support on material selection and part/mold design.
