Job summary

Dover Corporation is seeking a software engineer to develop new functions in Wayne payment products and integrations with third-party payment systems. The role emphasizes security, cryptography, and robust Windows-based development.

You'll participate in Scrum, triage field issues with Dover teams, perform design and code reviews, and collaborate with hardware-related components, including card readers and embedded terminals. Hybrid work arrangement in the Austin/ Downers Grove area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent working knowledge.
• 5+ years of software development experience within Windows environments.
• C# and .NET Core coding experience using Visual Studio IDE.
• Strong object-oriented and multi-threading programming skills.
• Familiarity with security and cryptography in software including digital signing, secure hashes, encryption, and OpenSSL.

Responsibilities

• Understand, design and develop new functions in Wayne payment products and Wayne integrations with 3rd party payment products.
• Strong willingness to learn and pick up new technology / project with minimal guidance or documents.
• Participate Scrum, Scrum plan, review and retrospective, and Scrum product backlog grooming sessions.
• Complete individual assignments defined in each Scrum sprint with minimal supervision.
• Assist to triage customer’s reported field issues closely with Dover New Product Support and Dover Help Desk teams.
• Apply good judgment in meeting tight schedules while maintaining superior quality.
• Perform design reviews and code reviews.
• Collaborate with payment team members to ensure project success and champion high quality throughout the project.
