Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Engineer to develop micro-sensor applications and integrate sensor systems into next-generation engines. You will work closely with scientists, engineers, and lab staff to ensure on-time delivery and apply materials science and microfabrication expertise.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership in thin-film lab development, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration within GE Aerospace's testing programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering, materials science, or physical sciences.
• Minimum of 5 years of physical vapor deposition (PVD) experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute microfabricated sensor applications for aerospace engines and aircraft testing.
• Support sensor system integration to engines/rigs and assist testing and data post-processing.
• Maintain lab facilities, update procedures, and ensure compliance with standards.
