Job summary
Thompson Engineering seeks a highly experienced Senior Engineer to provide technical leadership and mentoring across our Gulf Coast practice. The role focuses on transportation, site civil, coastal, H&H, water resources, and municipal disciplines, fostering client relationships and growth.
The ideal candidate will be a trusted technical resource and strategic leader, capable of guiding multidisciplinary teams and expanding Thompson Engineering's regional presence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership on complex engineering projects.
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams from planning through construction.
- Mentor and develop engineering staff across multiple office locations.
- Serve as a technical reviewer for engineering reports, plans, and specifications.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for future work.
- Support business development, proposal preparation, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Coordinate with public agencies, municipalities, and private clients.
- Assist in expanding Thompson Engineering's engineering services and regional presence.
- Ensure projects meet quality, schedule, and budget expectations.
