Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a DevOps/Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate cloud platform capabilities across AWS and GCP. You will enable reliable delivery by developing Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code foundations, and you will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to drive automation and observability across engineering teams.

The role requires expertise in Backstage plugins, TypeScript/Node.js/React, and Terraform, with hands‑on experience in Crossplane.io, Docker, and GitLab CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, implementing, and managing an internal developer portal, preferably with Backstage.io.
• Ability to create self‑service tools and streamline workflows for developers.
• Developing custom Backstage plugins and customizing the platform using TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
• Extensive experience with AWS or GCP and familiarity with the other cloud.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools like Terraform.
• Experience with Crossplane.io to manage cloud services via a Kubernetes‑native API.
• Strong understanding of containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD).
• Managing software artifacts and dependencies with JFrog Artifactory.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Go, or Bash.

• Strong understanding of containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes
• Solid experience with CI/CD principles and proficiency in building and maintaining pipelines using GitLab CI/CD

• Strong scripting and automation skill set using languages like Python, Go, or Bash
