Job summary

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) in Mankato is seeking an Engineer Senior - Project Management to lead highway improvement projects from inception to completion. The role requires directing PM processes, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery, and coordinating with public agencies and communities to gain input and consensus.

Qualifications

Licensure as a Professional Engineer with the Minnesota Board; comity/reciprocity requires a temporary permit before starting.
Experience in or supporting project management, including techniques and tools.
Experience developing or utilizing project schedules.
Experience developing highway projects.
Incumbents must have reliable transportation for off-site meetings and travel as required.

Responsibilities

Provide overall project management direction from inception to completion of highway improvement projects.
Utilize project management processes to ensure on-time, on-budget, and within-scope delivery.
Engage public agencies and the general public to obtain input and develop informed consent.
Provide leadership to technical project teams and align with MnDOT strategy, commitments and goals.
Develop projects consistent with MnDOT priorities.
