Job summary

The Minnesota Department of Transportation seeks a Project Manager-Engineer to oversee multi-project delivery from inception to completion. You will coordinate with internal and external teams, establishing relationships with local governments and stakeholders to ensure on-schedule, compliant project execution.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a professional engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design (AELSLAGID).
• Three (3) years of post-registration engineering experience at the Engineer Senior level in all phases of program delivery (scoping, pre-design, final design).
• Preferred knowledge: project management principles, civil engineering, contract administration, critical path scheduling (APV/Primavera P6).
• Familiarity with MnDOT policies, government roles, and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact with the Project Management Administrative Engineer and Assistant District Engineer for public agencies and stakeholders.
• Provide direction and leadership to internal and consultant teams to meet project requirements and ensure compliance with procedures and standards.
• Lead project delivery for minor to major scale projects in alignment with MnDOT strategy.
