Job summary

Eightfold's Analytics Product Engineering team builds the native reporting experiences that turn raw data into actionable insights. We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Backend-Heavy) who thrives on backend systems but is comfortable across the stack when needed.

You will design and maintain backend services and APIs powering dashboards, ensure data correctness, and optimize performance for large analytics datasets, collaborating closely with product and design.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services and APIs powering native reporting dashboards, including row-level security (RLS).

• Maintain the full stack for Adhoc reports.
• Partner with product and design to translate analytics requirements into reliable features.
• Own performance, scalability, and data correctness for reporting systems handling large analytics data volumes.

About Role: Senior Full Stack Engineer (Backend-Heavy)

Our Analytics Product Engineering team is building and shipping the native reporting experience of our platform --- think conversation analytics interfaces, Data Hub reports, and the dashboards that turn raw data into insights our customers actually use. We're looking for a full stack engineer who's happiest living on the backend but is comfortable working across the stack when needed.

What you'll work on

• Design and build backend services and APIs powering our native reporting dashboards, including handling of row-level security (RLS).
• Ship full stack features end-to-end for our conversation analytics interface, including handling of row-level security (RLS).
• Maintain the full stack for Adhoc reports.
• Partner closely with product and design to turn analytics requirements into performant, reliable features.

What we're looking for

• Strong backend engineering experience (APIs, services, data modeling, performance at scale).
• Solid full stack chops --- comfortable in the frontend when the feature calls for it.
• Experience working with analytics, reporting, or data-heavy products a big plus.
• Comfort working with large datasets, aggregations, and query optimization.
• Familiarity with row-level security (RLS) and data access control patterns a plus.
• A builder mindset --- you like shipping and iterating, not just architecting on paper.

Hybrid Work

Eightfold follows a hybrid work model that balances flexibility with in-person collaboration. Employees based near our Santa Clara, Bangalore, and Noida offices are expected to work from the office three days per week, as regular in-person engagement is essential to how we build high-impact products and strong teams.
